Built with stucco and clay plaster, the walls of the Casarão record the colonial period of our history, a time when this system was more used in rural buildings, due to its qualities - very low cost (all materials are natural), resistance and durability. The Casarão was built around 1870 and housed important families in the city, where it was also the headquarters of a dry and wet emporium. Almost 120 years later, the property that housed so many stories was abandoned and was in imminent risk of collapsing. And it was in this condition that the Carrara family embraced the cause and for 4 years invested in the renovation and restoration of the place. Today, fully preserved and maintained cultural characteristics, the Casarão was renamed Fazenda Dona Inês in honor of the matriarch of the family.
