History

The Palace was built in 1970’s designed under the personal supervision of Thakur Umaid Singh Rathore of Peelwa belonging to the legendary clan of Champawat Rajputs overlooking the man made lake at village Kalakho, Dausa. This was once the favorite hunting retreat of the Peelwa family and their friends, offers a peek into their legacy. Popular for duck shoots & fishing during the yester years, the retreat boosts of its own organic farm, dairy, poultry & an in-house Krishna temple where guests are invited by the residing family every morning or evening to join the prayers. Private & family run, a stay at Umaid Lake Palace is personally supervised by the owners who look into every detail including their fabulous service and superb cuisine. And might easily become one of your preferred destinations as well. The royal hunting lodge of the bygone era has been converted into a resort in keeping with the changing times.
