Hi, I’m Nelly. The very first (and to date the only) professional wedding officiant in Tahiti, performing personal ceremonies of a Western-style.

I moved to colourful French Polynesia back in 2002, and though I thought I’d stay a year or two, I stayed much longer – I let you do the maths! I pursued my career in hotels and hospitality working successfully with the largest inbound Tour Operator in Tahiti and then at several resorts in the islands. I was based in Bora Bora, next in Huahine, and since 2009, I’ve enjoyed living in beautiful Moorea.

While I loved managing resorts, there came a time in my life when I wished my job would also allow me to fully enjoy and appreciate the beautiful environment I am lucky to call home. I wanted to make the best use of the skills and expertise I possessed in managing sales, marketing, and event planning to serve couples around the world and help them plan unique destination weddings in Tahiti.

So I merged my passion for the islands of Tahiti, my love for all the details that go into planning a wedding, and my desire to serve couples abroad and I launched wedOtahiti.
